The difference between fear and anxiety

In a stressful or unfamiliar situation for us, usually, we say that we feel anxiety or fear. But remember that these are two different emotional states. What should we know about fear and what about Anxiety? How to deal with these emotions? When should you go to a specialist?

Fear occurs in a human in the face of real, tangible threat. The anxiety is when it is the nature of irrational and results from the imagined us think through the threat or danger.

In the case of phobias and post-traumatic stress dealing with disorders associated with fear. We can feel the fear of a particular person, an animal, or behavior of a person. Very often it appears as depression during or after the disaster experience (automotive or aeronautical).

Teams panic or generalized anxiety are characteristic of anxiety. They appear suddenly, can take a very short time, or last for months.

Anxiety has the same components as fear, with one exception which is called. cognitive component. This refers to the fact that:

In the case of anxiety, the patient expects, "imagines" threat, which at the moment does not exist. It assumes, eg., That something bad, dangerous or unpleasant could happen to him. This thought haunted him not only during the day but also at night.

For fear, there is a specific reason for our behavior (fear of animals, water, flying).
Upon activation of the above-mentioned specific component reaches the start of reaction panel. This refers to the behavior of the "fight" or "escape". The behavior of patients during an attack of anxiety or the fear are different. Some people become very aggressive, hyperactive others withdraw, shut in themselves or cry.

If we find that our fears are unfounded, we are afraid of something that we do not really threatened, we can not sleep at night, we are constantly tense and tired when we should go to a specialist
